Anna A. Chehtova investigates mergers and anticompetitive conduct matters at the Bureau of Competition of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. She has also represented the Commission in federal and administrative proceedings. Prior to her present appointment, she served as counsel in the agency’s Office of International Affairs, where she was involved in the International Competition Network’s working group on unilateral conduct and in bilateral relations with European and former CIS countries. She clerked for the Honorable Judge Delissa A. Ridgway in the U.S. Court of International Trade, where she worked on anti-dumping, countervailing and customs cases. She holds an LL.M. degree from Cornell Law School and Masters Degree in International Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She also holds a law degree in Economic Law. She was awarded a scholarship to pursue graduate studies at Cornell by the University of Paris as well as an Academic Excellency Scholarship by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Anna is Senior Editor of Concurrences Journal and a member of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association.
